The 34 candidates of Binibining Pilipinas
2015 presented to the media
One of the anticipated pre-pageant
activities leading up to the finals happened today, as Binibining Pilipinas
Charities, Inc. (BPCI) formally presented its official roster of candidates
before the press.
In a warm and exclusive
gathering at the Sunset Pavilion in Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila, the thirty-four
delegates of Binibining PIlipinas 2015 displayed sultry elegance as they walked
the ramp before the discriminating eyes of sponsors, guests, and the media.
These gorgeous Filipinas came
from all over the country, besting over a hundred aspirants who joined the
rigorous four-day screening back in January.
The lineup consists of local
pageant winners, graduates from top schools, artists, and working professionals
who excel in their respective fields, befitting the profile of modern-day Filipinas.
Since 1964, the Binibining
Pilipinas Charities, Inc. (BPCI) has been the prestigious discoverer and
trainer of young ladies who represent our country in well-known international
beauty tilts and in a span of five decades, the BPCI has proven its caliber as
a credible institution that eyes potential candidates; from the laudable Miss
Universe Philippines triumphs of Venus Raj (4th runner-up, 2010), Shamcey Supsup
(3rd runner-up, 2011), Janine Tugonon (1st runner-up, 2012), and Ariella Arida
(3rd runner-up, 2013) down to the recent Top 10 finish of Mary Jean Lastimosa
in the 63rd Miss Universe Pageant.
We also remember the victories
of Binibining Pilipinas delegates who competed for other international titles,
namely Bea Rose Santiago (Miss International 2013), Johanna Datul (Miss
Supranational 2013), Cindy Miranda (Top 10 finalist, Miss Tourism Queen
International 2013), Kris Tiffany Janson (2nd runner-up, Miss Intercontinental 2014), and Yvethe Marie
Santiago (Top 20 finalist, Miss Supranational 2014).
The Binibining Pilipinas 2015
candidates still have a lot on their plates with the following forthcoming
activities: a Fashion Show on February 26 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, Parade
of Beauties on March 7, and the Grand Coronation Night slated on March 15 at
the Smart Araneta Coliseum, which will be telecast live at ABS-CBN.
